Hello! My name is Vasso Katsantoni. I grew up in Athens and I studied Tourism and Hospitality Management in Thessaloniki. At a very young age I decided to become a professional guide and my aim was fulfilled when I graduated from the Official Guide School. I was mesmerized by Crete due to its amazing nature, history, tradition, cuisine and of course its people. I actually fell in love with the island, so I decided to move to Crete permanently.Through my work I try to make visitors understand what makes Crete a unique island and if possible to feel the same love for it as I do! The languages I’m guiding in are English, Finnish and Greek. Hope to meet you during your vacations on Crete!!!
My name is Sevastianna Souki, and I come originally from Athens, but I moved to Crete because I love the island, its nature, and the beautiful town of Chania I have chosen to live in. I have studied archeology, and have also graduated from the School for Professional Guides of Greece, a choice that has offered me the perfect solution to share my love for the island with other people. I have a passion for walking in the mountains, enjoying nature and discovering the diversity of gorges, isolated beaches, and bare peaks. I also like to study the rare plants and flowers of the Cretan countryside, which reveal to me another beauty of nature, and it’s always a great pleasure to be able to share all this with you. The languages I speak are English, German, Swedish and French.
My name is Stavros and I was born and raised in Chania, one of the most picturesque cities in Greece. My country, including the island of Crete, is known to the whole world as the place of the gods and heroes, but also as the place where the preaching of the Gospel by Paul was welcomed. As a result we have countless martyrs and saints from the early Christian period until now. “God works in mysterious ways” people usually say when I talk about my life. When I was a child I accidentally opened the door of the local archaeological museum and decided to become an archaeologist, but instead it was eventually theology I studied. Later my love for Greece led me to the decision to work as a diplomat but again, by accident, I attended the school of tourist guides and I’ve been giving tours since 2011. Being a guide is the perfect way to combine my love for history, archaeological sites and museums, Christianity, churches and monasteries and all that in my beloved Greece
I was born in the city of Chania, on Crete, where I am still residing. I have obtained a degree in History & Archaeology at the University of Crete and worked at plenty of excavation sites οn Crete and other parts of Greece, discovering archaeological findings, dating back to different eras and civilizations. The pride that I felt every time something new came to light, has made me want to share this unique history of my island with others. So today as a certified tourist-guide by the Ministry of Culture, I am looking forward to introducing the culture and history of Crete to you.
